For the first Talent profile we are going to highlight…drumroll please… Sonja Leix, a very fun, “uber-cool” girl who you will want to be friends with and go dancing with and work with and/or marry. Sonja is an uber-talented graphic designer, in New York now, who is originally from Germany.

What is your unique talent?
Communicating messages with my very colorful, diverse and unique graphic language

Any even stranger talents that not everyone knows about?
Oil painting and a happy hand as a bartender

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A writer, a flight attendant, a lifeguard, a model, a psychic, a horse whisperer, the first woman on the moon … I was a daydreamer most of all, so I chose a profession where I could encourage people to escape from their routine and start dreaming again.

What is your favorite thing about New York?
It’s vibrant dynamics, it’s variety and the fact that the city really never sleeps!

Lastly, teach us a bad word or funny phrase in German… Come on – please!!!
“Ich habe einen Kater.” If you say you have a male cat in german, it means you are hungover.
