In numerous previous collections, Monique Lhuillier has demonstrated her mastery of the perfect ball gown, but for Spring 2015 on the Mercedes Benz runway she instead presented a beautiful collection focusing on daywear.
It soon became clear her focus was on gorgeous pastel colors: pale pinks, sky blues, shades of yellows and purples. Lhuillier said her inspiration came from a recent trip she took to Harbour Island in the Bahamas. It was at sunrise where there were different shades in the sky that caught her attention, as they produced a special kind of sparkle that she wanted to put into every piece of her collection.
This  inspiration was beautifully presented on various different fabrics. It was featured on a cocktail dress made from liquid satin and again on a neoprene dress but instead with a printed landscape. Whether is was through flower petals, detailed beading or sequins, Lhuillier was able to beautifully add that little bit of sparkle into every garment of her collection.
